Government Naming …

Two ‘end of 2020/start of 2021’ lists of companies have been or are being published by the government.

First is the immediate publication of the companies that refuse to pay a minimum wage to their employees. Those named include Tesco, Superdrug and Pizza Hut stores. Full details are HERE.

Second list is of companies that applied for and collected the coronavirus job retention scheme grants on behalf of employees. HMRC claims the public listing is to deter fraudulent claims and improve transparency. Publication starts in Feb 2021 and it will include the names, registration numbers and payment bands of employers who claim for periods starting on or after 1 December 2020. The link is HERE.
